Umbraco Festival Germany 2018 is only twelve weeks away. Until then, we want you to be fully informed about all talks and our guests who give them. In our series “Meet the Speakers”, our speakers will introduce themselves to you. So… meet Matt Brailsford!
Who are you and what do you have to do with Umbraco?
My name is Matt Brailsford and I am one half of the agency Outfield Digital based in the UK. At Outfield Digital we focus entirely on Umbraco based projects, from website builds, to bespoke package development.
I’m also one half of UMCO, an informal collaboration between myself and Lee Kelleher where we work on open source Umbraco packages such as Nested Content and Fluidity as well as organise the only Umbraco un-conference, CODECABIN.
How often did you attend Umbraco Festival Germany (formerly known as umbOktoberfest)?
I believe this will actually be my first time at the German Umbraco Festival so I’m really looking forward to taking part.
What are your special fields of expertise/interest when it comes to Umbraco?
I mainly work in package development as I really like its focus as well as the mixed skill set you need including back end and front end as this is my speciality.
Which topic will your talk be about?
I’ll be talking about Vuejs and why I’ve made it my js library of choice for reactive interfaces.
What are three words that come to mind when you think of Umbraco?
Friendly, Flexible and Fun
What is the most special thing about Umbraco community events like UFD?
Just being able to catch up with friends and make new ones. It’s also great to see community groups such as UFD attract great people to come and talk. It seems in the Umbraco community, everyone will go that extra mile to help and take part, which is really special.
